As health professionals find out about the links between high-risk behavior enabled by dating apps and STD outbreaks, they’re discovering that apps make the work of monitoring instances harder to complete.
In particular, based on John Auerbach, president and CEO of this general public wellness nonprofit the Trust for America’s wellness, the anonymous encounters taking place via apps make it harder to complete contact tracing, a vital epidemiological process in understanding an outbreak.
